This region offers walking and tramping tracks to suit every fitness level. The most iconic of them all is Egmont National Park/Mount Taranaki.

Mount Taranaki is best accessed via Egmont Rd to North Egmont, Pembroke Rd at Stratford to East Egmont (Ngatai Ruanui Mountain House ) and Manaia Rd at Kaponga to Dawson Falls.
